I can't remember a time growing up when I didn't have a camera by my side; whether a Kodak Brownie, a Polaroid, or my first 35mm, an old Argus Range Finder. At various times in the 80's I worked as a portrait photographer, which didn't seem to be my calling in life. In 1987, my wife Cathy and I bought a 31 ft sailboat (s/v Ki-Kimmer) and moved aboard with our two Siamese cats Ki and Kimmer . We spent the next 13 years living, cruising, and photographing the Pacific Northwest and beyond. In July of 2000 we completed a three year photo-adventure cruise from Alaska to Florida via the Panama Canal and Western Caribbean. While cruising, I realized my true passion was scenic photography, particularly in Black & White infrared which I’d been shooting since 1983. Upon returning to Seattle we opened Pizzini Photographics and have since been photographing and exhibiting on a full time basis.
